Die Zeit, Bernd Ulrich, Europhoriker, unsere gefährlichsten Freunde

Es gibt die Euro-Skeptiker, die Euro-Hasser, und dann sind da noch die Europhoriker. Letztere finden sich sowohl unter Intellektuellen wie auch Politikern und sind mindestens genauso gefährlich wie erstere. Denn sie missbrauchen die EU als Weltanschauung. Auszüge. Europa ist die letzte erlaubte Ideologie. Genauer: Es wird von einigen seiner vehementesten Propagandisten dazu gemacht. Das hat der Kontinent nicht verdient, er muss in Schutz genommen werden vor seinen schärfsten Befürwortern (…).

“Europhorics”, our most dangerous friends

There are the “Eurosceptics”, and there are “Eurohaters”. And then there are the “Europhorics”, who are to be found among both intellectuals and politicians and who at least as dangerous as the former. To them the EU is not a union, but a worldview – and they are abusing it. Europe is the last permissible ideology. Specifically, it has been made into an ideology by some of its most vocal propagandists. The continent does not deserve this, and it must protected from its most ardent proponents. (…)

Despre oameni, omeneşte

Die Zeit Online are o temă dedicată fotografiei din fosta Republică Democrată Germană …
Poate titlul (uşor tendenţios) Was die Funktionäre nicht sehen wollten (Ceea ce oficialii nu au vrut să vadă) nu ar fi fost cel mai potrivit dar, cel puţin pe mine, imaginile au izbutit să izbească cu neaşteptată violenţă!
Am ales, de acolo, trei, să spună, mult tăcând, despre bieţii oameni sub biete vremuri , dincolo de doctrine şi alte aberaţii ale unei politologii din ce în ce mai greu de pătruns, evitând, cu îndârjire, să alunec pe panta sistemului social iar de acolo în ansamblul politic unde e ceva, cu siguranţă, profund eronat în ceea ce David Easton identifica drept alocare a valorillor prin intermediul autorităţii într-o societate dată …
Diferenţele, osebirile, cum spuneau bătrânii, dintre autoritate şi autoritarism sunt, înspăimântător de frecvent, insesizabile …
